Have some extra time and want to help animals in need? PawSafe has volunteer opportunities available:
FOSTER HOMES (canine!)
Overview: A foster home is a temporary home in which our dogs and puppies can live like they are supposed to live – as our companions – until they are adopted. Foster homes provide a safe and loving environment for animals in our care that are either waiting for their new families to find them or while on any additional days of medication.
ADOPTION COORDINATORS
Overview: Adoption Coordinators assist with adoption days at various locations and at our adoption events on Saturday morning. We are normally in the Patterson NY area . Adoption events are normally held on Saturday’s. Coordinators talk to possible adoptive families and let them visit with our animals needing homes. If they are interested in adopting, Coordinators help the families to make the best match possible.
Featured Puppy
Meet Faye. She and her brother, Frankie,, are rottie / lab mixes with docked tails. Their mommy is a purebred rottie and the family that did not spay her docked the tails of her babies. They were not able to find homes for their puppies so off to rescue they went. Luckily they are safe and now getting lots of love and attention until they are ready to meet you. We are expecting that they will be about 60-70lbs as adults and will be 10 weeks old when ready to meet you at our next adoption event at Choice Pet in Carmel NY.
